“What Love Is: The Duke Pathfinders 50” is a documentary that looks at a Duke University program from National Association of Social Workers (NASW) member Tina Staley that treats the emotional health of people being treated for cancer and other serious illnesses.

“This film is about social change,” Staley, MSW, LCSW, said in a 2010 interview with SocialWorkersSpeak.org. “It’s about changing the way we look at health care in America, to a more human and caring way. Because we’re in an epidemic.”

The film from director Ted Bogosian was featured at the NASW Washington, D.C. Metro Chapter conference in 2011 and at the NASW Hope Conference in 2012.

The film will air on PBS World channel this weekend, beginning Friday at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. ET and 11 p.m. PT. To find out what channel the film will air on in your area go to this website.
