Farrell was shopping with her children at Fashion Square Mall in Saginaw Turnpike when she came across Chasity Davis, 19, who was in labor.

Farrell ended up  helping Davis deliver her six-pound son Devin in front of the mall. An emergency medical dispatcher guided Farrell by telephone. After it was over Farrell realized what a heroic task she had done.

“Then you get shaky. You were hugging people you never met before because of what you went through,” she said. “It’s amazing what people can do when they work together.”
