TV to Watch: American Transgender
Social worker Eli Strong this month appeared on the National Geographic Channel’s “American Transgender,” which chronicled the Alabama native’s transition from female to male.
According to news reports Strong, 30, received his bachelor’s and master’s degree in social work from the University of Alabama. He is now a database coordinator at Avalere, a health care advisory services company in Washington, D.C.
The documentary took a look at the lives of Strong and two other transgendered people. Strong told the Washington Blade he is encouraged by the positive response he has received since the film aired on May 1.
“I think the documentary can and did do good,” he said.

There is a typo in the article above. The word “transgender” is an adjective, not a verb. As such, someone cannot be “transgendered”. They may be a “person who is transgender” or “transgender person”.
Thanks for spreading the word. Hopefully I will soon have information on whether the documentary is available online or for sale, so all those that didn’t see it.
