A Sweet Tooth for Social Work

Jodi Rhoden. Photo courtesy of the Asheville Citizen-Times.

Social worker Jodi Rhoden worked in the rape crisis and domestic violence fields before opening the Short Street Cakes bakery in West Asheville, N.C.

However, an  article in the Asheville Citizen-Times shows social work is still a big part of Jodi’s recipe for life.

She offers advice to other small, local businesses, gives her baked goods and time to local nonprofits, champions urban agriculture, and collaborates with other local craftspeople.

Cheers to the Asheville Citizen-Times for their wonderful profile. To read it in full click here
