“Oranges and Sunshines” Premieres in UK

“Oranges and Sunshine,” the film about social work heroine Margaret Humphreys, opens in United Kingdom on April 1. Click here to read a review of the film in the Guardian.

Humphreys, who is played by Oscar-nominated actress Emily Watson, made public the fact Britain sent more than 100,000 foster children overseas without permission of their parents.

These children were sent thousands of miles away from home to Australia and other countries. Some were were forced to work and abused and later struggled to reconnect withbirth families.
