Movie to Watch: Monsieur Lazhar

Music Box Films invites social workers around the country to watch Monsieur Lazhar, an award-winning French Canadian film about a middle school class trying to cope with the suicide of a beloved teacher.

Substitute teacher Bachir Lazhar tries to help the class heal. However, the immigrant from Algeria is dealing with trauma of his own.

The film, which is in French with English subtitles, opened April 13 in the United States. To find out more about the film and where it is playing click here.
