Cheers to Michigan Live for this article that highlights social work student and National Association of Social Workers member Samantha Morrison.

Morrison, who attends Saginaw Valley State University, works at Target and interns at the Innerlink shelter for runaway youth. She suggested Target work with the shelter and they came in and renovated six bedrooms that had not changed since 1982.

Innerlink director Johnnie Gibson said having Target come in and provide paint, new bedding and other materials was like apppearing on ABC’s “Extreme Makeover. “It’s going to be fantastic,” he said.
