Cheers to the New York Times reporter Steven Levitt for this funny article on social worker “Kyle.” Kyle figured out he could earn extra money by persuading coworkers to pay him to do tedious work duties. But as the old saying goes, “The best laid plans of mice (and social workers) often goes awry…”
Q: Social workers are some of the most educated professionals in the nation, but often work for relatively low pay. What have you done to bring in extra income?

Most in our office have two or three jobs. Difficult with family and on call but really there is no time to look for a job that pays better when you work in CPS
