Social Worker’s Group Nominated for Blues Awards
The Mannish Boys, a blues group that includes bass player National Association of Social Workers member Will Campbell, has been nominated in four categories at 32nd Annual Blues Award tonight (May 5, 2011) in Memphis.
According to this article in Missouri’s Marshall Democrat-News Campbell is a licensed clinical social worker and therapist who works with Fitzgibbon Hospital on mental health programs. Campbell also has his own practice, The Lotus Center, the newspaper said.
The Mannish Boys will perform at the awards show.
According to the Blues Foundation, the awards show will air live on Sirius XM’s B.B. King’s Bluesville. It will also be broadcast on public television later this year.
