Social Worker Wants to End Homelessness in Colorado Town
Cheers to the Fort Collins Coloradoan for this article on social worker Sister Mary Alice Murphy, a one-woman wrecking crew against homelessness.
Murphy says she is fighting to end homelessness in the Fort Collins area and is active with several organizations, including one named in honor of her — the Sister Mary Alice Murphy Center of Hope.
Murphy said she was inspired by her parents. “Both Mother and Dad believed you should help other people,” she said. “I think a lot of who you are is what your parents instill in you.”
