Cheers to the Salt Lake Tribune for their great profile of a clinic for veterans. The article put the spotlight on Daniel Murchie, a licensed clinical social worker who goes out of his way to find and provide services for veterans, even those who at first think they don’t need him.

Here’s an excerpt from the story:

“With the smoothness of a military recruiter and the earnestness of a kindergarten teacher, (Murchie) prods and pleads with veterans to get them in the door. After that, he figures, the VA sells itself.”

The Department of Veterans Affairs employs more masters level social workers than any other sector. It’s nice to read an article that lets the public know the important work they do.
