Meet “Greg’s Angels”
Cheers to the Portland Press Herald in Maine for this harrowing yet heartwarming news article about social worker Greg Morin.
Five years ago Morin was rushing up three flights of stairs to finish his graduate degree when he collapsed at the door of Jeanette Andonian, associate professor at the University of Southern Maine School of Social Work.
Andonian asked students to call 9-1-1 and registered nurse Eileen Delaney and Helen Peake-Godin, an associate professor at USM’s School of Nursing, came to help. When Morin went into cardiac arrest the two nurses revived him using CPR.
Morin, who is a social worker at Maine Medical Center, celebrates each year on the anniversary of his rescue by taking “Greg’s Angels” out to lunch.
