Cheers to BND.com for this article on National Association of Social Workers member Marilyn Stevens, MSW, ACSW, and Matt Stevens. The two run a husband-wife couples therapy business called ConnectEd PAIRS.

The article gives the public an idea of how social workers help couple form better relationships. “We’re not big on solving people’s problems,” Marilyn said. ” We’re into giving them the tools so they can solve their own problems.”

  1. My husband and I have been fighting a lot lately, and we’ve decided that we need to either seek marital counseling or get a divorce. Most of our fights are about time. He and I work close to ninety hours a week, and so we don’t see each other very often. It’s hard to find time to talk about things, or to spend time together. And both of us have really important and high stress jobs, and so if by some miracle we do find time to spend together, we often get disrupted by urgent calls and emails from work. We’ve decided to give ourselves six months. And if we aren’t able to get some help and start working together on our relationship, then we will just separate. We are really wanting to get some professional help and see if we can mediate our problems. Are there any good marriage counseling in maryland . We aren’t specifically concerned about the price, but mostly about the quality and the techniques that they use.
