Dalai Lamai urges Tulane graduates to create a more peaceful world
The Dalai Lama urged Tulane University graduates to try to create a more peaceful world during his speech at the New Orlean college’s graduation, according to this report from a local ABC affiliate.
“Think more globally and try to create a more peaceful world,” he said. “That means a more compassionate world.”
The university’s social work department secured the spiritual leader to the United States last summer when 14 students worked with Tibetan refugees in northern India.
The graduation ceremony of course was done New Orleans style, featuring a “second line” brass and drum band.
