Community Rallies to Find Lost Guide Dog

We like this heart-warming article in Florida’s Naples Daily News about how the community rallied to find “Frances,” a guide dog owned by Edith Kling.

Kling, 80, who is blind, is a retired social worker and former member of the National Association of Social Workers. New Year’s fireworks spooked Frances, who ran away from Kling’s porch.

“I’ve had guide dogs for the last 28 years (and) to not have my guide dog in my left hand, it’s like my left hand is missing,” a grateful Kling said. “It was getting really, really terrible minute by minute. You have no idea, when you’re blind, the attachment you have for your dog. It was just terrible.”
