Article Spotlights How Photography Can Bring Healing

Kudos to the SouthFloridaGayNews.com for this article on photographer Howard Zucker.

Zucker works with therapists to help clients develop better self image. He photographs people who may suffer from physical ailments — such as face wasting from HIV — or believe they do not look well in photos.

Social worker Ted Williams, LCSW, has sent eight of his clients to Zucker’s Self-Image Photography studio. In fact, Williams used the service himself.

“Before sending the first client for Howard’s services I experienced the amazing process of Self-Image Photography myself and therefore have first-hand knowledge of what my clients reported,” Williams said. “[Howard] is patient and supportive.”

Q: Social workers, what do you do to help clients improve self-image?
