Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter recently honored Nicholson for helping abused and neglected children and advocating for child safety in Colorado and around the nation.

 Nicholson and National Association of Social Workers member Cassie Spencer, LCSW, created Nicholson & Associates in Denver in 1983 to provide training and consultation in child welfare.

“The work I have done in improving the lives of children and families and this recognition by Gov. Ritter allows all of us to celebrate the lives of children and the many people and organizations which have allowed me to help children have a better life,” Nicholson said during an April 29 award ceremony.
