Anonymous Donor Saves Social Work Jobs

Cheers to NBC Channel 2 in Tulsa, Okla., for this heartwarming article about an anonymous donor who gave Tulsa Public Schools a $175,000 grant to save eight school social work jobs.

The jobs were due to be eliminated due to a budget shortfall, the article said. Tulsa Public Schools hopes its financial situation will improve by next year so it won’t have to put the social services program on the chopping block again.

“I find it gratifying that there are people in the public that really look and see what happens in schools and say to themselves we can’t let this go,” said Kay Sandschaper, director of special education.
