Social Work Students Help Women Tell Addiction Stories

University of Texas at San Antonio social work students meet with a group of women who are recovering from heroin addiction.

Cheers to KSAT 12 news in San Antonio, TX for this TV news segment on a local program that helps women share their stories of battling heroin addiction.

Students from the University of Texas at San Antonio social work program met with the group and will help them publicize their stories through a stage presentation. “We get to see what it’s like to be in their shoes,” social work student Holly Brummett said. “We’ve heard their stories — what contributed to their addiction.”

  1. Life is about decisions and deciding to not do drugs is an important one. There are enough stumbling blocks in life than to purposely add one on your own. Success is hard, make it as easy on yourself as possible. Don’t do drugs.
