Donald Checkett

Donald Checkett, MSW, a charter member of the National Association of Social Workers, died May 23 at age 83 at his home in Columbia, Mo.

The World War II veteran went on to helped create the Child Day Care Association  in St. Louis. He served as its first executive director.
