Social worker Constance “Connie” P. Wilson is credited with doing more to develop and create a mental health system in Kentucky than anyone else.

Wilson, who was a social work professor for 43 years, also was instrumental in starting a graduate program in social work at the University of Kentucky.

Social workers in Kentucky lost a champion when Wilson died Monday at age 86. She is survived by husband P. David Wilson and three surviving sons. You can read her wonderful obituary in the Lexington Herald-Leader by clicking here.
