Theresa Flores was a teenager living in Michigan when she was blackmailed into become a sex slave, according to this article on Mlive.com.
Now Flores is a social worker who helps other young women who were victims of commercial sex exploitation.
“It also helped me heal,” she said of her decision to pursue a master’s degree in counseling education. “It gives me a purpose now.”
