The new FX crime drama “The Bridge” will feature Australian actor Thomas M. Wright as a social worker whom press reports and websites describe as “mysterious,” a “lone wolf,” and “disturbed.”

SocialWorkersSpeak.org is trying to contact FX and will watch the program to find out exactly how the role of social worker Steven Linder will be portrayed.

The “Bridge,” which premieres Wednesday July 10 at 10 p.m. Eastern, follows two investigators from opposite sides of the U.S./Mexico border who are tracking a serial killer who murders in both jurisdictions.

Sonya Cross (actress Diane Kruger) of the El Paso police department and Marco Ruiz (actor Demian Bichir) of the Chihuahua state police not only come from different nations but have a totally different outlook on how to solve crime.

“It’s a different system, a different language, a different way of seeing life, a different way of solving things. Marco is used to solving the problems right there. He can’t wait for a warrant. He sees life as simpler. He knows what’s right and what’s wrong. He’s passionate and he’s reckless sometimes,”actor Bichir said in this article in USA Today. “Sonya is a rule follower, not only because of her personality, but because that’s pretty much the way it works.”

Q: Please watch “The Bridge” and let us know what you think about the social worker role.
