Special Screening: “Irena Sendler: In Their Mother’s Names”

The National Association of Social Workers is hosting a special screening of the documentary “Irena Sendler: In the Name of Their Mothers” on Friday, Dec. 3 at 9:30 a.m. You can also earn three CEUs by taking a continuing education course related to the screening, “”Irena Sendler: A Case Study in Applied Ethics.”

The film directed by Mary Skinner is about Polish social worker Irena Sendler and her team of social workers who rescued hundreds of Jewish children from extermination by the Nazis. The documentary contains the last recorded interview with Sendler, who died in 2008 at age 98.
