Social worker and addiction and recovery expert Sherry Gaba was recently featured in this article on shopping addiction in the Huffington Post.

Gaba, who is a National Association of Social Workers member, said overcoming shopping addiction is an “inside job” and those who suffer from it must first recognize they have a problem. She also offered tips on ending the addiction.

“When your life has become unmanageable and is out of control–that’s the mark of an addiction,” said Gaba, who provides behind-the-scenes support on VH1’s popular “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.”
