Tracy Whitaker, director of the National Association of Social Workers’ Center for Workforce Studies, was interviewed about the difference between a tough boss and bully boss in this MSNBC.com article.
Whitaker is an expert on the issue — she has researched workplace bullying. Employees want to be mentored and challenged to do their best but not be confused, disrespected or humiliated on the job, she said.
“Power and success are very attractive qualities,” Whitaker said. “People see Donald Trump and they see success, but people have to understand that tough and demanding is different than unreasonable and arbitrary.”
