Los Angeles Times Corrects Headline

A Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services employee who was fired for sexually propositioning foster children in his care was not a professional social worker, although an early Los Angeles Times article identified him as one.

An internal investigation found Green behaved inappropriately with female foster children who were housed in a converted conference room because there were no available foster homes.

An earlier headline of this article said James Green is a social worker. However a new version of the article said Green, who worked at the department for 17 years, was in fact not a social worker.

Green has denied the chargers and Lincoln Saul, a recently retired social worker who was a whistleblower who regularly alerted authorities to regulatory abuses in the office, said he saw no evidence Saul would do such actions.

“I have never heard him using inappropriate language or observed unprofessional conduct during the years that I have known him,” Saul said.
