Social worker Julie Hanks, MSW, LCSW, emailed SocialWorkersSpeak.org to let us know she is scoring impressive media hits.
Hanks, owner and clinical director of Wasatch Family Therapy in Cottonwood Heights, UT, was quoted in this E! Online article about whether Suri Cruise, four-year-old daughter of actor Tom Cruise and wife Katie Holmes, was spoiled because her parents bought her a pricey iPad.
AndĀ MSN’s “Mom’s Homeroom” tapped Hanks as an expert to talk about bullying in this article. “To often parents fail to hear their child’s painful experience because they jump quickly to try and soothe their child’s hurt feelings,” she said.
Julie, we are sure other social workers would love your advice onĀ getting media placements!
