We like  this Courier Press article on former homeless woman Joyce Grangent. Grangent told the Evansville, Ind., newspaper that social workers helped her find Destination: Home, a 10-year-old program to end homelessness in that region.

“I had never heard of supportive housing until the social worker told me about it,” Grangent said. “If you are not connected to some social service agency, generally people walk around without knowing there is help out there.”
