Virginia Senate Passes Title Protection Bill
The Virginia Senate has passed a bill to protect the social worker title, according to this article on Fredericksburg.com.
If the bill eventually becomes law, a person must be licensed by the Virginia Board of Social Work to call themselves a social worker.
The bill must go back to the Virginia House because the Senate amended it. It it passes the House it can go the governor for final approval.
