Social worker Nicole Crawford has won the “There Ought to be a Law” contest in Pennsylvania, according to this article in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

Crawford said there should be legislation to allow non-custodial parents in Pennsylvania to go to court and set up child support payments, something only custodial parents can now do. This would prevent custodial parents from falsely claiming the non-custodial parents are not paying child support, which can be done informally, Crawford said.

Sen. Anthony Williams, D-Philadelphia, who sponsored the contest, said he plans to introduce the bill this spring.
