  1. no job for social worker in nigeria.we?

  2. Dear Director,

Hi! I would like to introduce myself; my name is Mrs. Rajani Suram. I am social worker for poor and needy children in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh, India. I happily married with two children (A girl and a boy). My dream of working for the betterment of the poor and the marginalized has come true when my husband Mr. Shoury Babu Rebba established Non Governmental organization (NGO) called “Kiranmayi Socio Educational Society” (KISES) in 1999. Working with Tribals and Dalit women initially at Khammam District and with fisherman communities and farmers of the Island villages of Edurumondi of Krishna district has given me immense satisfaction.

We have also implemented water and sanitation (WASH) progremme and health programme of MCH (Mother and Child) in the island villages of Edurumondi panchayat, Nagayalanka mandal and Pedapatnam panchayat villages of Machiliptanm mandal of Krishna district successfully with the active participation of women of the respective villages, especially the women from down trodden communities. And it is at Pedapatnam, we have constructed a Health Centre for the benefit of the people from the surrounding 25 coastal villages, in which MCH (Mother & Child Health) programme is being implemented apart from conducting frequent health camps and health camps and health campaigns. But I feel that what I have done so far is not even a drop in the ocean. There is much more to do. I wish and pray that I will be able to address few more socio-economic problems, especially such as child-rights violation, gender-discriminatory, rehabilitation if HIV/AIDS affected children, physically challenged, Environmental programs, Agricultural programmes and dump hill people etc.,
