Wilda Levin, MSW, a psychiatric social worker who was head social worker at the University at Buffalo’s Student Counseling Center for more than 20 years, died Saturday at age 88, according to this obituary in The Buffalo News.

Levin earned a master’s degree in social work from Simmons College School of Social Work in Boston and worked for a year as a social worker at Massachusetts General Hospital.

She worked at the Children’s Hospital Crippled Children’s Guild in Buffalo before switching her career specialty to psychiatric social work.

After retiring from the University at Buffalo Student Counseling Center in the 1980s Levin, who was a National Association of Social Workers member, went into private practice and led therapy groups.

Levin married Kenneth Levin in 1949. He died in 1997. She is survived by two daughters — Judith Levin Grundy and Bethann.
