The online magazine Social Work Helper recently featured a Q&A interview with new National Association of Social Workers CEO Angelo McClain, PhD, LICSW.

McClain said NASW and the social work profession need a “new grand vision,” a goal he is working toward.

“Our grand vision revolves around strengthening America’s social safety net, by ensuring that all individuals have the opportunity to improve their human well-being and are able to live free from social injustice,” he said. “We will do this by supporting social workers, advocating for the profession, and ultimately serving the millions of clients helped by social workers each day.”
