With unemployment continuing at record levels, social workers are having a difficult time helping people find new jobs.

The Philadelphia Inquirer recently ran this story mentioning social workers who have clients who have exhausted unemployment benefits and are using welfare. Social worker Nidia Sinclair said her job has never been harder.

“It’s a work-first program, but the problem is, with the economy the way it is, there’s no work,” she said. “The frustration level is very high right now.”
