Article: Coppin State Launches Campaign to Build Dorothy Height Center

Social work icon Dorothy I. Height has died but her spirit lives on.

Coppin State University in Baltimore kicked off a campaign to create the Dorothy I. Height Endowed Chair and Lectureship in Social Work and Social Justice and the Dorothy I. Height Center for the Advancement of Social Justice, according to this article in the Baltimore Sun.

Height was to have attended the event. In her place lay a lavender hat to symbolize the woman who never left home without one on her head.
